A little plant 

In the heart of a seed 

Buried deep, so deep, 

A dear little plant 

Lay fast asleep.

“Wake!” said the voice

Of the rain drops bright. 

The little plant heard. 

And rose to see 

What the wonderful 

Outside world might be.

 

অনুবাদ: 

একটি চারাগাছ 

একটি বীজের অন্তরে

গভীরে, খুব গভীরে সমাহিত 

একটি প্রিয় ছোট চারাগাছ 

ঘুমন্ত অবস্থায় শায়িত। 

জাগো। বলল একটি কণ্ঠ 

বৃষ্টির উজ্জ্বল ফোটার। 

ছোট চারাগাছটি তো শুনলো। 

এবং ঘুম থেকে জেগে উঠল দেখতে 

কতই না সুন্দর হতে পারে বইয়ের জগৎ।

Ans: The little plant sleeping in the heart of seed. (ছোট চারাগাছটি একটি বীজের ভেতর ঘুমাচ্ছে।)

Ans: The voice of the bright drops of the rain spoke to the little plant. (বৃষ্টির উজ্জল ফোটার শব্দ চারাগাছটির সাথে কথা বলছিল।)

3. What did they want the little plant to do? (তারা চারাগাছটিকে দিয়ে কী করতে চেয়েছিল?)

Ans: They wanted the little plant to rise and see the wonderful world outside. (তারা চেয়েছিল চারাগাছটি যেন জাগে এবং বাইরের বিস্ময়কর জগৎটিকে দেখ।)

4. What two things do plants need in order to grow? (বেড়ে ওঠার জন্য চারাগাছের কোন দুটি জিনিসের প্রয়োজন হয়।)

Ans: Plants need water and sunlight to grow. (বেড়ে ওঠার জন্য চারাগাছের প্রয়োজন পানি ও সূর্যের আলো।)
